Available Courses

  • Course designed for EDS 730 - ADMINISTRATION AND SUPERVISION OF SPECIAL EDUCATION, Spring 2010
  • This Beginner's Guide to Implementing Read&Write Gold in the classroom covers the five most used features of Read&Write Gold by students. The intended audience are teachers who have heard of Read&Write Gold, but are not comfortable enough with the program to use it with their students.
  • This course will provide teachers with an overall understanding of how the brain learns to read and will offer strategies in each of the five essential reading components which will help even the most struggling reader. The material in the course was developed in part in collaboration with Special Education Cooperative Literacy Consultants and funded partially by Kentucky Reading First.
  • This introductory course in Special Education is aimed at providing Substitute Teachers with an overview of information they need to know along with some of the things they may see in their classrooms. Topics range from disability areas to classroom management and assistive technology. In addition to text, there will be videos, discussions, quizzes, and other interactive resources and activities participants can expect to see. Once completed, you will have documentation of your participation in this course to provide to any school or district who may require it.
  • This updated course takes participants on an interactive journey through the Post Secondary Transition process.
  • COMING SOON! Overview of continuous improvement and lean management techniques for school systems. Intended audience is all administrators, but anyone may benefit.
  • This is the support cadre for Classroom Assessment for Student Learning: Using it Right, Doing it Well (CASL). This is a hybrid course consisting of 3 Face-To-Face sessions and 4 online sessions. These sessions will assist you in developing competency in using the CASL training materials with learning teams in your school. Each online session will require approximately 3 hours of your time for reading, completing activities, and responding to forum questions.
